New Version of Physics-Live CD is available

I am glad to announce that the new version of Physics-Live CD will be available in a few days. This version is based on Slax 5.1.8 and Slackware 11. The Live CD uses XFCE 4.4.0 for the window manager. It contains the following softwares:

physics-livecd-0.1.2.iso

The version 0.1.2 of physics-live cd is now available. I have added ab-initio program MPQC and Gabedit, and molecular dynamics simulation program GROMACS.

physics-livecd-mini-0.1.2

I have created a minimum version of physics-live cd. This livecd contains only physical simulation programs and some essential programs such as firefox and gimp. I have also created a general simulation program called emwave2d .

I have modified Slax LiveCD and added some softwares that will be needed for physical simulations and data analysis. Please check it out at http://physics-live.org. Note that physical simulations have not been added yet. I hope I can add them soon.

I am planning to create a physics livecd. The livecd is based on Slax livecd. I will add many physical simulations using c or c++ and python. I will try to keep the size of livecd small so that users can download it quickly. I hope this livecd will be useful for learning and teaching physics.
